MIMS College of Nursing, part of MIMS Academy, was established in 2003 by Padmashri Dr. Azad Moopen, Chairman and Managing Director of Aster DM Healthcare. Dr. Moopen envisioned to create  a world-class educational institution in health and allied sciences, aiming to nurture and guide future generations of compassionate professionals.

The college is renowned for its rich tradition of educating nursing professionals and is approved by the Indian Nursing Council, the Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council, the Kerala University of Health Sciences, and the Government of Kerala. Since its inception, the college has strived to embody the historical and cultural values of Aster MIMS institutions, offering students and the community meaningful and engaging learning experiences. College is the first of its kind in obtaining NAAC accreditation as the first health science institute in Kerala and holds an A+ status of Quality Assurance system of the Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur.

Over the past 22 years, MIMS College of Nursing has distinguished itself as an innovative institution of higher learning, dedicated to fostering student success in both their careers and personal lives.
